  • Description: The pedestrian overpass (just visible at left) was still new in 1954 when this photo was taken. The overpass allowed workers from Dodge Main to cross Jos. Campau at Clay without crossing traffic. Note the gas storage tanks in the background. Nothing visible in this photos exists anymore. Most of it was swallowed by the General Motors Poletown plant.
